Lesotho

Lesotho has a number of laws on the statute books which criminalise expression including the Sedition Proclamation of 1938, the Penal Code of 2010 and the Internal Security (General) Act of 1984 which contain a number of provisions which criminalise expression and in particular which contain overbroad definitions of sedition and subversion and which also criminalise defamation and insulting the Royal Family.
